Ethics approval and consent to participate: Ethics approval for this study was issued by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of Mekelle University College of Health Sciences prior to the commencement of data extraction (ERC 13572/2021). Since the study utilized secondary data, consent to participate was waived by the IRB, as participants were not directly involved in the research and the data were publicly accessible under the institution’s data sharing policy. Permission to use the data was obtained from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the data-owning department (Labor ward). Participant confidentiality was maintained through the use of anonymized data for extraction and analysis. Furthermore, both the extracted and cleaned data were not shared with any third parties.
