Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Ethics clearance for this research was provided by Western University (REB#: 104922, REB#: 104921). For the inpatient and outpatient participants, both caregivers and youth provided written consent as part of standard care. For the youth justice group, youth over 16 years of age provided written consent only if deemed competent to do so. To be judged competent, youth were required to understand the foreseeable risks, potential benefits as well as the consequences of participating in the research study.
