Ethics approval and consent to participate
: LP and all control participants in the MRI experiment gave written informed consent to participate in the study. LP was investigated as part of his clinical assessment. The Ethics Committee of the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg (ExternalRef removed) approved the assessment of the control and ASD participants in the brain imaging experiment.
: Written informed consent was obtained from the participants (LP and all control participants) for publication of their data. LP consented to publication of his case data including tables and images. The control subjects were recruited within a different study and serve merely as a reference collective for the case presented here. Their data were only presented on group level and hence no information is published that would make them identifiable. All control participants gave written consent to the publication of their data on group level. A copy of the written consent from all participants is available for review by the Editor of this journal.
