Ethics approval and consent to participate

: Anonymized data were retrieved from the administrative financing database collected by the National Health Insurance Fund Administration of Hungary (NHIFA) and maintained by the National Healthcare Service Centre of Hungary. Permission to use data that contains personalized health information (like the administrative financing database administered centrally by the National Health Insurance Fund Administration) is granted by the Act XLVII of 1997 on the protection of health and interrelated personal data. According to this legislation, the use of anonymized data for research purposes can be granted by the director or the data protection manager of the institution handling the data. Official permission for using the anonymized data has been granted by the National Healthcare Service Centre of Hungary that administers certain parts of the financing database according to Decree 76 of 2004 of the Minister of Health, Social and Family Affairs with a permission number of AEEK/4538/2016.
