Ethics approval and consent to participate
: This study was approved by Ethic Committee of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences with approval number IR.TBZMED.REC.1397.281. Written informed consent was obtained from the participants respective parents/guardians prior to the interviews and the FGDs for voluntary participation and using voice recorder. Before the FGDs and the interviews, a brief summary of objectives, questions, and qualification of researchers were presented for all potential participants (Including parents and professionals) in face-to-face meetings. Parents of children with ASD were invited to participate in the FGDs by a secretary in the Comprehensive Autism Center (CAC) through face-to-face formal meeting followed by an invitation letter and a reminder text message. Participation of the parents was voluntarily and this was clearly mentioned in the informed consent form. For professionals, the invitation for interview was made by two authors at participants’ office in face-to-face meetings followed by an invitation letter.
