: The present study was approved by IR.KUMS.REC.1397.606 at the Ethics Committee of Kermanshah University of Medical Sciences and was registered with IRCT20170305032900N3 in Iranian clinical trial registration system (). The date of registration was 24/02/2019. Participants were informed about the objectives of the study and provided their written informed consent. They were assured of the confidentiality of their information and informed that participation was voluntary, with the option to withdraw from the study at any time. Additionally, all participants in the control group were either referred for treatment or, if they wished, treated with the intervention method after the follow-up.
