: We obtained summary-level GWAS data from published studies, which were approved respectively by their institutional review committees. The study of MDD got generic approval from the NHS National Research Ethics Service and study of testosterone traits was approved by the National Research Ethics Service Committee North West–Haydock. Both studies made their summary-level results publicly available, therefore no further sanction was needed in this study.
