: This study was reviewed by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) at The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). On August 14, 2023, the UTSA IRB determined that the project involving the use of longitudinal prescription data available from the IQVIA database (IRB Number: FY22-23-319) did not meet the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) or Food and Drug Administration (FDA) criteria for regulated research. As such, the study was determined to be “not regulated research” and did not require further IRB oversight. The determination was based on the use of de-identified, preexisting data.
