: Ethical approval to conduct this study was obtained from the Research Ethics Committee of Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST-2022-700) after approval from the Faculty Research Committee of the Faculty of Medicine of Mbarara University of Science and Technology. Permission was also sought from the medical director Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital and the department of Psychiatry to conduct the study. All participants provided written informed consent before they were enrolled in the study. The study was conducted in accordance with the ethical principles of the Declaration of Helsinki.
