: The activities reported involved voluntary public demonstrations of an eye-tracking technology conducted in a non-clinical, public setting. No identifiable or sensitive personal data were collected, and all data were anonymized and analyzed in aggregate. At the time of data collection, there was no intent to conduct research or to use the data for publication. According to national and internationally accepted research ethics guidelines, activities that are not designed as research and that do not involve identifiable human data do not require ethics committee or institutional review board (IRB) approval or individual informed consent. The eye-tracking research protocol underlying the technology was approved by the Qatar Biomedical Research Institute Institutional Review Board (QBRI-IRB-2023-40; March 2, 2023).
