: Author HP has lived experience of detention in psychiatric hospitals and declares involvement with the Stop Oxevision campaign. Author BME has lived experience of using inpatient psychiatric services and has expressed public support for the aims of the Stop Oxevision Campaign. Whilst we disclose these experiences in the interest of transparency regarding our positionality, these personal interests do not benefit the authors financially. In declaring these interests, we are making public sensitive, personal information which others may consider private matters.
