: Secondary data analysis was approved by the University of Ontario Institute of Technology’s Research Ethics Board (REB #1367). The full protocol for the CLSA was approved by various institutional review boards across seven different provinces through a collaborative process. Yearly amendments are also submitted to the collaborative process. Data are available from the Canadian Longitudinal Study on Aging ( ExternalRef removed ) for researchers who meet the criteria for access to de-identified CLSA data.
