Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Scientific and ethical approval was obtained from the World Health Organization Ethical Review Committee (protocol ID, B40121) and the local Institutional Health Research Ethics Committee for Kibong’oto Infectious Diseases Hospital. Consent for retrospective TB and HIV data was waived. ‘The participating healthcare workers’ informed consent process was waived however strict adherence to coding and de-identification of study documents preserved participants confidentiality’.
