: This study is a separate analysis of the dataset collected for evaluation of Dead Cool, trial registration ISRCTN29351200 (retrospective). Full details of ethics and consent are available from the evaluation report [CitationRef removed]. Briefly, ethical approval has been granted by the School of Education Ethics Committee, Queen’s University Belfast. Participation in the study is by voluntary informed written consent (school principals, teachers, opt-out for parents followed by opt-in for students), obtained by the evaluation researchers prior to all stages of data collection.
