Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The NPCD panel-study was submitted to the Central Committee on Research Involving Human Subjects (CCMO) in the Netherlands, which decided that the panel-study did not fall under the scope of the Medical Research Involving Human Subjects Act (WMO) and as such did not need approval of an Ethical Review Board. Potential panel members received written information about the panel-study and gave informed consent.
