Ethics approval and consent to participate
: The study was approved by the Ethics Committee of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences of the University of Zurich, 13 December 2017 (Reference number: 17. 12. 13). Because both, the SmokeFree Buddy app and the iCO Smokerlyzer app, are freely available in the GooglePlaystore (Android) as well as in the App Store (iOS), no licence is needed All participants need to give a written informed consent to participate in the study.
