Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Ethical approval was obtained from the National Institutional Ethical Review Board (Cert. no.MR/53/100/434), Lake Zone Institutional Review Board under the National Institute for Medical Research, Tanzania. Further ethical approval was thought from the Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences, Ethical Review Committee (cert. no. CREC/156/2016). Further permission was obtained from the district administrative and division authorities. Kiswahili translated informed consent forms were used to obtain parental consent for the children to participate in the study. To maintain confidentiality, all data collection tools were kept in a closed cabinet and whenever the data were accessed, only identification number of the participants were used to identify participants to ensure anonymity.
