Ethics approval and consent to participate
: This research received ethics approval from the University of Alberta Health Research Ethics Board (HREB), as a component of the project “Addressing Community Concerns about Risks from <i>H. pylori</i> Infection in the Circumpolar North”; Study ID: MS21_Pro00007868, Amendment ID: Pro00007868_AME17, approval date September 19, 2016. Study staff provided each participant an information sheet that outlined the study objectives, methods, information to be collected, benefits and potential risks of participation and confidentiality protection measures. Following review of this document, each consenting participant filled out a written consent form, confirming they had received enough information about the project and agreed to participate. Project information sheets and consent forms were approved by the Human Research Ethics Board, at the University of Alberta and have been published previously [].
