Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Participants provided written informed consent and the Region Zealand’s Ethical Committee on Health Research (SJ-421) and the Danish Data Protection Agency (REG-24-2015) approved the study. In the case of abnormal laboratory results, the LOFUS participant was informed by the study nurse by phone and advised to consult his/her general practitioner []. All participants were able to check the results of their biochemical analyses on their electronic health records on Sundhed.dk [].
