Ethics approval and consent to participate
: All participants will fill out a consent form as part of their online screening questionnaire. The consent will specify that their (de-identified) data will be used for research purposes. Participants must be aged 16 or over in order to participate. The project has been reviewed and approved by Curtin University Human Research Ethics Committee (HRE2019–038).

: AFJ is a trained and/or certified facilitator of a number of different compassion training programs, including Compassion Cultivation Training, Mindful Self-Compassion Training, Mindfulness-Based Compassionate Living, and Making Friends with Yourself. She is also the developer of the Self-Compassion Online program. AFJ is the study sponsor, was involved in the design of the study and will be involved in the interpretation of the results.
