Ethics approval and consent to participate

: The Dutch Medical Research Involving Human Subjects Act (WMO) does not apply to this study [CitationRef removed]. Therefore, no formal ethics approval from the medical ethics committee was needed. Data were collected from an online panel managed by a survey company. A sample of members of the panel was informed about the topic and purpose of the study and invited to complete the survey. By signing up for the panel, accepting the invitation to participate, and submitting their response, respondents provided consent to participate. For each completed survey, a small donation was made to the charity chosen by the respondent.
