Ethics approval and consent to participate
: This study posed no more than minimal risks to participants; nonetheless, ethical approval was obtained from the Uganda National Council of Science and Technology and the School of Medicine Research Ethics Committee in Uganda. Permission was also sought from the Ministry of Health, EPI program, District Health Officers and health facility managers. All study participants provided informed consent.
