Ethics approval and consent to participate
: Before undertaking study, the proposal was submitted for ethical clearance at Makerere University School of Public Health Higher Degrees, Research and Ethics Committee and subsequently approved. The proposal and the sample collection protocol were then submitted to Uganda National Science and Technology (UNCST) for final approval. A written informed consent was obtained from each of the participant. Permission to go the health facilities was sought from the District health offices and respective in-charges of hospitals and the health facilities.
