: We obtained ethical clearance for this study from the Makerere University School of Public Health Higher Degrees, Research, and Ethics Committee. Each participant provided written informed consent. We maintained participants’ privacy and confidentiality throughout the different processes of participant’s enrollment into the study and data collection and analysis. We linked MD cases to the Psychiatric Clinic of Gulu Regional Referral Hospital for further management.
