The study is registered on clinicaltrials.gov NCT04971538. Protocol HC023, version 1.1, dated 17 July 2021. Heads of households will provide informed consent to leave an HCV self-test for the participant and written informed consent will be obtained from the participant during the result reporting event. Written informed consent will also be obtained from the subset of participants who participate in the face-to-face interviews about their knowledge of hepatitis C and perceptions in relation to the testing experience.
