: The research methods were performed in accordance with the guidelines and regulations of The Declaration of Helsinki. This study used the dataset from the Indonesian Family Life Survey (IFLS). Protocol and survey procedures were reviewed and approved by IRBs (Institutional Review Boards) in the United States at RAND (ethical clearance number for IFLS5: s0064-06-01-CR01) [CitationRef removed] and in Indonesia at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) for IFLS4 and IFLS5 [CitationRef removed].
