: The Epiteen study was approved by the Portuguese Commission for Data Protection, and the Ethics Committees of Hospital S. João and of Instituto de Saúde Pública da Universidade do Porto (ISPUP), where one of the co-authors was affiliated. The study was performed in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations for protection of human subjects (such as the Declaration of Helsinki).Written informed consent was obtained from parents in the first and second waves of our study, when the participants were minors. In the remaining waves of the study, informed consent was obtained directly from the participants themselves, since they were over 21 years old.
