: The research team met with the Fort Peck Tribal Executive Board, consisting of Assiniboine and Sioux tribal leaders. A Tribal Resolution (#30-348-2020-03) was granted which allowed the team to apply for funding and conduct a study on the reservation with Fort Peck Head Start teachers. This resolution establishes the tribe’s rights to protect their intellectual property and Indigenous knowledge (e.g., pictures, songs, and stories). Thus, any manuscripts are reviewed by the council before publication.IRB approval was granted by the Johns Hopkins University #00252294 and the Fort Peck Tribal IRB. Informed consent was obtained from all subjects prior to implementing the study. All methods during this study were carried out in accordance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
