: The current study has used secondary data and does not need ethical permission. The public and patients were not involved in our research’s design, conduct, reporting, or dissemination plans since we performed a secondary analysis of publicly available data.
: The survey (NFHS-5) protocol and questionnaires received ethical permission from the Institutional Review Board of the Indian Institute of Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, India and the ICF Institutional Review Board. All methods were carried out per the ethical committee’s relevant guidelines and regulations. Data collectors were rigorously trained, and quality control was ensured. To comply with the ethical conditions, informed consent was obtained from the respondents. For under-aged respondents (< 18 years old), the data collectors received informed consent from a parent or an adult caregiver. The privacy of the respondents was guaranteed.
