: This study is part of the MULTIPLY-project, which was approved by national and institutional ethics committees and national pharmacy boards in Spain, Sierra Leone, Togo and Mozambique. Informed consent was obtained for all enrolled participants. Caretakers of eligible children were interviewed after they had agreed to participate in the survey by signing an informed consent form. In case of illiteracy, an impartial witness who spoke the language of the caretaker was present during the complete informed consent process and the form was signed by the caretaker using their fingerprint. Data was anonymised and confidentiality of the respondents was maintained throughout and after the survey.
