The SESLHD Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC) (SESLHD HREC is constituted and operates in accordance with the National Health and Medical Research Council’s (NHMRC) <i>National Statement on Ethical Conduction in Human Research (2007),</i> NHRMC and Universities Australia’s <i>Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research (2007)</i> and the <i>CPMP/ICH Note for Guidance on Good Clinical Practice.</i>), at a meeting of its Low and Negligible Risk Research Review Committee, waived the need for informed consent due to the fact that the data collected would be non-specific and clients would not be identifiable.
