: Ethics approval and informed consent from patients to participate are unnecessary according to national French law for the analysis of retrospective data ("loi Jardé", 2012–300 of 5 March 2012 relating to research on human subjects, amended in 2016 by ordinance 2016–800 of 16 June 2016). The data were anonymised and reconstructed by combining two anonymised sources to ensure that anonymity was maintained. These are the basic data on health care consumption for the Midi-Pyrénées region. This study conformed to the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki.
