: This analysis utilized data from DHS and PMA surveys. The surveys were approved by the relevant ethics committees in each country; Ethiopia’s National Research Ethics Review Committee (NRERC), Kenya’s National Review Board (NERB), and Nigeria National Health Research Ethics Committee of Nigeria (NHREC). Verbal informed consent was obtained by the interviewer reading a prescribed statement to the respondent. The interviewer then documented the respondent’s consent.
