: The National Family Health Survey (NFHS) data are accessible as secondary data from the Demographic Health Survey (DHS) portal, a public domain resource. The survey was conducted by the International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) Mumbai on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MOHFW), Government of India. Ethical approval is obtained by the IIPS prior to conducting the survey, ensuring compliance with ethical standards. Questionnaire information and biomarkers are collected with informed consent from respondents. Anaemia testing involves collecting blood samples from women aged 15–49 years who voluntarily consent to the testing in all households. Additionally, anaemia testing is conducted for children aged 6–59 months in households, with consent obtained from their parents or caregivers.
