: The Ethical Review Board of Ethiopia Central Statistical Agency (ECSA) approved the ethical clearance for the 2019 EMDHS. The study did not require ethical review or participant agreement because it was a secondary data analysis of publicly available survey data from the MEASURE DHS programme. We asked DHS Programme for permission to obtain and use the data from for this study, and they granted it. We confirm that all methods were carried out in accordance with the relevant guidelines and regulation.
