: The study protocols were submitted to and approved by the University of Cape Institutional Review Board (UCCIRB) (Ref No: UCCIRB/EXT/2022/01). Consent forms were sent via email to all participants to which they signed. Moreover, the study was performed in accordance with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki on medical research involving human subjects, the 7th edition [36]. Furthermore, the study was conducted consistent with the Completed Consolidated Criteria for Reporting Qualitative Studies (COREQ). Meanwhile, we employed a Clinical Psychologist who did initial therapeutic interactions with the EHOs before we engaged them in the FGD. The psychologist also stayed throughout the interactions and monitored the reactions of the participants and where necessary, he came in to have therapeutic talks with the participants.
