: The study followed all national ethical guidelines. All experimental protocols were registered at and approved by the Data Protection Agency at the University of Southern Denmark (J.nr. 10.254). The Danish Heart Foundation and the University of Southern Denmark committed to a data transfer agreement to permit data analysis by the Danish Heart Foundation.All the potential participants in the Adolescence with Heart Disease Study received written information about the survey, that their data would be handled confidentially in a protected data environment and that the survey results would always be presented as aggregated data to ensure anonymity. Informed consent was obtained from all the participants and legal guardians for the study.
