: Ethical approval for the study was granted by the Nigeria Health Research Ethics Committee, under the Ministry of Health (approval no: FHREC/2022/01/13/17-03-22). Informed, written consent was obtained from all participants prior to their inclusion in the study. The objectives of the study were clearly explained, and the results of the rapid diagnostic tests (RDT) were shared with each participant. Detailed information about the potential health implications of HBV infection and preventive measures was provided. Participants who tested positive for HBV were referred to Natlane Ltd. and the GOFMC team for further advice and follow-up care, as necessary.
