: The analysis was based on publicly available datasets from the 2022 Tanzania Demographic and Health Survey (TDHS), which can be accessed online, with all identifying information removed. The National Institute of Medical Research Ethics Committee in Tanzania and the ICF Macro Ethics Committee in Calverton, New York, granted ethical approval for the initial 2022 TDHS, which indicated that this particular analysis did not require separate ethical clearance. The use of this data was authorized by the Monitoring and Evaluation to Assess and Use Results (MEASURE) program following the submission of our data analysis proposal. Before conducting interviews, informed consent was obtained from all participants, and all methodologies used complied with established guidelines and procedures.
