: During recruitment, prospective participants were provided information about the study, along with its risks and benefits, and an opportunity to ask questions and get clarification about the study from study staff over the telephone. Informed verbal consent was obtained from all participants prior to telephone survey, community education program, and semi-structured interviews. The Institutional Review Board (IRB) at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) determined that the study was exempt from full review (IRB study #000164) and approved the informed verbal consent procedures described.
