: The study was approved by the Aids Support Organisation (TASO) Institutional Review Board (registration number TASO 2021-75) and registered with the Uganda National Council of Science and Technology (UNCST). This research was performed following the relevant guidelines and regulations per the Declaration of Helsinki. All participants gave verbal informed consent before each interview. Detailed information about the purpose of the study, why they were chosen, potential risks and benefits, and that participation was voluntary and participants could withdraw at any point were provided/given to participants before the interview. Participants’ information was anonymous as no personal data was collected.
