: Within the scope of the research, applications were made to the Ondokuz Mayıs University Social and Humanities Research Ethics Committee twice for ethical approval. The first approval is for adapting the “Trust in Public Health Authorities Scale” into Turkish (Date: 25.11.2022, Issue: 2022 − 1023). The second confirmation is the field research to determine the mediating role of health literacy in the relationship between trust in public health authorities and distrust in health systems (Date: 28.04.2023, Number: 2023 − 404). Informed consent was obtained from all participants in the study. The principles of the Declaration of Helsinki were followed in the collection of research data and all processes related to this research.
