: The study involving human participants was reviewed and approved by the Ethics Review Board of Peking University (IRB00001052-14010). According to the information released by the Institute of Social Science Survey (ISSS) at Peking University on May 13, 2022, the China Family Panel Studies (CFPS) project was approved by the Peking University Biomedical Ethics Review Committee under this IRB number. As the CFPS project is a continuing follow-up investigation, after the initial approval, Peking University submitted annual applications for continuing review to the Ethics Review Board. All participants provided written informed consent before participation. This study and its methodology are on the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki.
