: Ethical approval was obtained from the Ethics Committee at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Nursing, and Health Professions of Birzeit University (BZUPNH2306). The study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki of the World Medical Association. All necessary approvals were secured from the Palestinian Medical Relief Society (PMRS) to use their youth facilities for participant recruitment and data collection. Written consent was obtained from the parents of participants under 18, with the research aim and procedures explained, emphasizing voluntary participation and the right to withdraw at any time. Verbal consent was obtained from all participants, with assurance of confidentiality. No names or any personal identifiers, such as IDs or phone numbers, were recorded or mentioned in voice recordings or transcripts. Participants were also instructed not to share personal information during the session. Transcripts and participants were assigned serial numbers. We recognized the potential for sensitive topics to arise during focus group discussions and took active measures to minimize any discomfort participants might experience. Furthermore, participants were informed of their access to support resources, including PMRS’s social worker or the research team, whom they could contact during or after the discussions for assistance.
