: This study conforms to the principles outlined in the Declaration of Helsinki and has been approved by the RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences ethics committee [REC202401019]. The Research Ethics Committee at the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland provided ethical approval for using the Healthy Ireland Survey data. All personal data used and collected for the survey is stored by Ipsos in data centers and servers within Ireland, the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. This is done in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Ipsos only retains personal data for as long as is necessary to support the research project and findings.
