: This study was a secondary analysis of Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) data conducted in Senegal from 2015 to 2023. All Senegal DHS rounds conducted during this period were approved by the National Ethics Committee for Health Research (Comité National d’Éthique pour la Recherche en Santé – CNERS) and obtained ethical clearance from the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of ICF International. The research was conducted in accordance with the ethical standards of the relevant institutional and national research committees and with the 1964 Helsinki Declaration and its later amendments or comparable ethical standards.
