: Both the WHAT-IF? study and this qualitative study were conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. This study was approved by Institutional Review Boards at the University of Florida (Gainesville, FL) and the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine (Miami, FL). Written informed consent was obtained at the Miami site. All participants were informed that the purpose of the qualitative study was to better understand why women with HIV choose to participate in alcohol intervention research.
