: This study used secondary data from the 2019 Ethiopia Demographic and Health Survey (EDHS). Ethical approval for the original survey was obtained from the Ethiopian Health and Nutrition Research Institute Review Board and the National Research Ethics Review Committee. Moreover, they confirmed that their research has been performed in accordance with the declaration of Helsinki and the original data collection included written informed consent from all participants. Permission to download and use the dataset for this study was granted by the DHS Program upon submission of our research proposal. We maintained data confidentiality and used the data exclusively for the purposes of this study.
