Ethical approval was granted by the Ethics Commission of the Hamburg Medical Chamber (No. 2020-10194-BO-ff). Written informed consent to participate in the study was obtained from all participants. Participants were assured of the strict confidentiality of their data and informed of their right to withdraw consent at any time without incurring adverse consequences. Recognizing the potentially sensitive nature of the interview content, it was ensured that telephone interviews were held only by the researcher and no one else present. In case of participants experiencing severe psychological distress during the interview, the Outpatients Clinic for Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy at the University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf could be contacted by telephone. All data and quotations presented in publications are pseudonymized to protect participant identity.
