: This is a secondary analysis of the WHO Multicountry Survey on Abortion (WHOMCS-A). This study was approved by the World Health Organization Ethical Review Committee (protocol: 0002699) and relevant country ethics committees. All included women signed an informed consent form prior to the ACASI interview. Institutional informed consent was obtained from the responsible authority of each facility. Research Ethical Review Committee at WHO and at health authorities of each country, as well as those of all facilities, independently approved the protocol.
